Privacy
How your grades and preferences are handled by this application.
This privacy notice explains what information the FSGF Grade Calculator processes, how it is stored, and what it does not do. We built this tool to keep your academic data under your control.
Everything stays on your device
When you enter grades, choose teaching units, or adjust formula weights, that information is stored only in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers or any third party.
No account or cloud sync
You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information. There is no cloud database, no synchronization between devices, and no way for us to access your calculations.
Data we collect
We do not collect personal data. The calculator downloads public study-plan JSON files (the program index and the single program you select) to your browser so it can perform calculations locally.
How localStorage works
localStorage is a standard browser feature that lets websites save small amounts of data on your computer. Your saved calculations remain available when you close and reopen the browser, until you clear them.
How to clear your data
You can delete your saved calculations at any time by clicking the Reset button inside the calculator. You can also clear all site data for this domain through your browser's settings.
Analytics and tracking
Version 1 of this application does not use analytics, trackers, advertising scripts, or cookies. We do not track which programs you view or what grades you enter.
Third-party services
We do not embed third-party widgets, fonts loaded from external servers, or social media buttons. The site is fully static and self-contained.
Changes to this notice
If we later add features that change how data is handled, we will update this notice and describe the changes clearly.
Questions
If you have questions about this privacy notice or the calculator, you can inspect the source code or contact the project maintainers.
